Stage one of the town centre, part of the Shell Cove community by Shellharbour City Council and Frasers Property Australia, is now fully leased.
The new Shell Cove town centre will be anchored by a full-line 3800sqm Woolworths supermarket and BWS liquor outlet.
The Woolworths is due to open on October 10, with the other shops also expected to open their doors that day.
“Joining Woolworths is a great mix of local businesses keen to make their mark in the new community, creating a vibrant town centre atmosphere with a distinct local flavour,” Tim Moore, general manager retail leasing, Frasers Property Australia said.
Shell Cove is a joint development between Shellharbour City Council and Frasers Property Australia.
Developers say The Waterfront, Shell Cove has been designed so residents can walk to shops, the harbour, schools, beaches, public transport and other amenities.
The first stage of the town centre features solar panels that will generate power equivalent to that required to operate 55 homes, as well as a rainwater recycling system for use in gardens and toilets which, coupled with efficient taps and fittings, is estimated to save more than 900,000L of water annually.
