Established in 1981 by Bob Burcher, who retired earlier this year, Abico is now owned by David North and Ausure. Although Bob has retired and no longer has an active role in the business, he still visits the office regularly and is happy to have a chat and a coffee with their long-term clients.
Over the years there have been a couple name changes for Abico … Hannan Abico, Abico Qunton and now back to Abico. All the while the family culture, industry experience and professional service to clients remains.
Abico has a strong family culture, mixed with extensive industry experience, with many of the staff having worked for Abico in excess of 15 years.
Many clients have also been with them from the beginning. Abico understands their clients’ insurance needs, individually tailoring services to suit those needs.
They specialise in all types of insurances for businesses, construction, transport, earthmoving, cyber, corporate travel and rural to name a few.
