There is no doubt Bulli's drought breaking grand final triumph over the weekend was a well deserved one.

Matt Bailey's men have been the benchmark of the Illawarra Premier League for many years now and certainly set the standard throughout the 2018 campaign again.
A win over Wollongong United on Sunday was a worthy reward for all their hard work.
Sure, it didn't come in the prettiest of fashion.
Like a lot of grand finals turn out to be, the match was more of a power struggle as both sides looked to steal the momentum on the big occasion.
I don't think either team totally dominated the game.
If anything, United probably shaded Bulli slightly over the course of 90 minutes.
Still, it was an incredibly entertaining contest and it fittingly had a grandstand finish worthy of deciding any game.
The match had looked to be Bulli’s for the taking when they held a two goal advantage at the the half time break, but as anyone in football knows, 2-0 can be a dangerous scoreline.
Once United got the first goal in the second half, they backed themselves to get an equaliser.
It might have taken until two minutes to go, but it was a superb equaliser as well and it seemed to put the momentum firmly in United’s favour.
Unfortunately for Jeff Allport’s squad, they’d have to be prepared for heartbreak as Guy Knight etched his name in Bulli folklore in the final seconds.
The grand final put an exclamation mark on another sensational season in the local competition.
In the other games across the weekend, District League champions Coniston also sealed a title double while Thirroul (reserves), Coniston (youth grade), Bulli (youth grade) and Cringila (under 23s) all deserve credit for their grand final wins.
- THAT'S A WRAP
Friday's Wollongong Wolves club awards night officially brought to another NPL season to a close.
Congratulations to all the winners across the evening on a great season.
In First Grade, Michael Robinson took out the club's Player of the Year while goalkeeper Justin Pasfield claimed the Players' Player.
Ryan Ensor was our best rookie and Peter Simonoski unsurprisingly won the club's Golden Boot.
Peter's win came on the back of the news that he will be leaving the Wolves to link up with Sydney United 58 next season.
It will undoubtedly be a big loss as he has been a key figure for the club throughout recent seasons.
