It seems our educational advisers have never looked beyond a university education and never been in the real world of the Aussie trades/skills needed for our future Aussie workers.
Our schools do the 3R’s well up to year 10 but then the focus is only on a university subject stream and the buck is passed to TAFE for vocational skills.
Are our average students in years 11 and 12 just keeping “Educational Dinosaurs” employed rather than doing two years of locally needed vocational/trade skills they need to get a real a job.
So “pull your finger out” curriculum advisers and fill this Aussie skills shortage.
Our Australian educational institutions are a classic example of “Nero playing his fiddle while Rome Burns”.

THE GENDER IMBALANCE
Where will it end, Richard Burnett?
When misogynists like yourself finally accept that women are of an equal standing to men and deserve respect for that.
Unfortunately, women do experience greater discrimination in pay and job advancement and are certainly more likely to suffer injury from domestic violence and sexual harassment in general.
I have been with my wife since 1973, and am also a senior citizen in a " state of decay".
I have no fear but, rather, a great deal of respect for women.
I feel sorry for you if you feel that a " privileged white males" biggest threat is from a woman.

GAME, SET AND MATCH
The latest News Poll results continues to announce Labor leading the LPA on a two-Party preferred basis.
It appears to me Scomo’s ‘political honeymoon period’ has now run its full course.
The poll results and the collapse of Scomo’s ‘honeymoon period’ are not surprising.
Scomo continues to enunciate support for his predecessor’s stupid policy directions.
And, we all know now how that turned out …
The broader public at large expects the Morrison Government to rip up the Paris Agreement and wind down an unsustainable Immigration intake.
Scomo is on track to set an undesirable record of having a very short tenure as PM.
Moreover, Scomo and the LPA are also destined to become a support cast and ‘bit’ players to Labor post a 2019 election.
The two vital areas of public policy The Morrison Government needs to address post haste are the abandonment of the Paris Agreement and a rejig of the current and ridiculously high Immigration intake numbers.
Then, game, set and match to the current government. LPA, are you listening.....?
