The side entered the round of 16 clash against Castle Hill as heavy underdogs, with Castle Hill taking out the State Cup earlier in the season.
The teams played out an even clash, with Castle Hill taking a 2-1 advantage through a penalty early in the second half.
Lake Heights pushed for an equaliser and it ultimately came through Cooper Schofield with less than a minute remaining.

The Lake Heights 13 boys will be joined in the quarter-finals by the Shellharbour 12 girls who defeated Kellyville, Shellharbour 15 girls and Fernhill 16 girls.
