A man who suffered critical injuries in a Mount Warrigal house fire continues to fight for life, three weeks later.

The 53-year-old man was pulled unconscious from a home on Madigan Blvd the night of September 6.
His father, 84-year-old Erwin Langthaller, was also retrieved by but could not be revived.
A fire investigator from Fire and Rescue NSW is working with Lake Illawarra police to determine the cause of the blaze.
Police do not believe the fire was suspicious, but have not been able to speak to the surviving son, who remains at Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
Three police officers, several neighbours and paramedics suffered smoke inhalation as a result of the rescue effort.
