Principal Bruce Rowles welcomed senior officers from NSW Police who handed over $22,000 to provide better facilities at the schools.
Assistant Commissioner Peter Barrie, Chief Inspector of Police Bryan Rugg and Illawarra Police Charity Ball secretary Anne-Marie Robertson made the presentation.
They said the money was a result of fundraising on the night and Mr Rowles thanked them on the school’s behalf.
“We have been extremely fortunate to have the support of the Illawarra Police Charity Ball in 2018. It was a wonderful event,” he said.
The money raised will be used for new play equipment for children at the school.
“We are overwhelmed at their generosity and look forward now to installing a play train and caboose in the Corrimal Playground,” Mr Rowles said.
