Riana Martelli, 25, of Fairy Meadow, was killed on Saturday about 1.20pm when her blue Hyundai Getz veered from a westbound lane and into a tree.
Camden police chief inspector Michael Bright said it was unusual for there to be so few signs of what led to a road tragedy.
“At this stage we’re not sure what’s caused the accident,” he said.
“The young woman has just driven off the side of the road.
“There’s no skid marks or anything to indicate the cause of the accident.”

An autopsy may yet determine whether Ms Martelli suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
Police have taken a statement from a motorist who was driving in the opposite direction, who witnessed the crash. The man reported no swerving.
In the wake of the accident, police are urging drivers to concentrate on the road, and always wear a seatbelt.
“It appears the young woman may not have been wearing a seatbelt, because she’s been ejected from the vehicle,” he said.
“It’s one of those road safety messages that we push all the time.
“Wear a seatbelt, because in an accident like this, if your car leaves the road and you hit a tree, it’s a big impact. A seatbelt will protect you.”
The crash occurred in the vicinity of the Cordeaux Dam turnoff.
An investigation into the tragedy is continuing and anyone with information or dash cam vision is urged to come forward.
