Police have issued a public appeal for the whereabouts of man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into the alleged bashing murder of Bellambi mother Kristie Powell.

Bhanu Kirkman, aged 29, is described as being of Indian/sub-continental appearance, approximately 180cm to 185cm tall, with a large build and black hair.
He has previously described himself as living in Thirroul, though detectives have been unable to find him there.
A friend called emergency services to Ms Powell’s Lorking Street home just after 1am Friday.
They found her badly battered body laying only a few metres from her five-month-old son, who was uninjured and has been placed in the care of grandparents.
Officers from Wollongong Police District established a crime scene and are investigating, assisted by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
Following inquiries, detectives issued an appeal for Mr Kirkman’s whereabouts a short time ago.
They say Mr Kirkman is known to frequent the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Sydney areas.
Anyone who sees Bhanu Kirkman is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
