EARLIER: Buses are replacing trains on the South Coast line in both directions between Thirroul and Waterfall after a fatality at Austinmer Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the train station around 6am with reports of a man being hit by a train.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the man was unable to be revived. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Commuters should check indicator boards on platforms for service changes.
