Now in its 24th year, the Awards attracts attendance of SME business owners, senior executives from the private sector as well as local Government representatives.
The Illawarra Awards are part of The NSW Business Chamber that recognises success at a local, regional and state level through their Chamber Alliance Partner Program and their award programs.
“The NSW Business Chamber’s Business Awards celebrates business excellence in NSW by recognising and rewarding outstanding businesses whose passion, determination, innovation and success inspire other businesses and business people,” CEO Stephen Cartwright of the NSW Business Chamber said.
“Over 12 months, across 16 geographic regions, we showcase the success stories of our members, helping to strengthen business in NSW through the sharing of success stories and lessons learned from our finalists and winners.

A new category at this year’s Awards is the Excellence in Workplace Inclusion. It is always exciting when a new category is added and there is much anticipation who will win this new award.
This award recognises businesses that address the needs of a diverse community, including seniors, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and people with disability.
This means that an inclusive business needs to facilitate the needs of all its employees and customers.
It also means that the 2018 IMB Bank Illawarra Business Awards are inclusive of everyone that is involved in business.
