Gauging from her previous shows on the tour, fans heading to the WIN Entertainment Centre on Tuesday October 16 can expect colossal wigs, flamboyant costumes – and many of them, and high camp back-up dancers.
WHAT TIME DO DOORS OPEN
Doors open at WIN Entertainment Centre (the corner of Crown and Harbour Streets) at 6:30pm.
The support act will take to the stage at 7:30pm and the lady of honour, Cher, is expected on stage in all her glory around 8:30pm.
WHO IS THE SUPPORT ACT
Comedian/DJ Andrew McClelland is the official support for all of Cher’s shows here and in New Zealand.
Previously he’s played DJ’d at events and clubs in the UK, South East Asia, NZ and Australia. You may have also seen him at the Melbourne International Film Festival, Melbourne and Sydney Taste Festival, Melbourne Fashion Festival and more.
He’ll get the official party started at 7.30pm.
WHAT ABOUT ROXEE HORROR
The Illawarra’s most famous drag queen Roxee will be doing her own pre-show tribute to Cher at the Furphy Bar.
The Harbour Street venue – which opens for special events – will be open from 5pm until late on the evening.
WHAT WILL CHER SING
Reviews of the Australian tour show the 72-year-old has not waned in her old age but for 90 minutes embraces her early hits through to her recent casting in the film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

WHERE CAN I GET FOOD
Eatery’s around Wollongong are certain to be full of hungry Cher fans.
Cafes, bars and restaurants can be found within a short walk from the concert venue.

There will also be a champagne bar open to ticket-holders inside the venue.
WHERE CAN I PARK
Car Parking is now available at WIN Stadium (Opposite the Sage Hotel), entry via Stewart Street and Harbour Streets. Special event parking rates also apply on event days.
An additional car park is available only on event days and is located in Stewart Street East which is about a block walking distance from the venue. Special event parking rates apply.
DROP-OFF/PICK-UP POINTS
A drop off zone will be in operation on Burelli Street between Harbour and Corrimal Streets. Access to this area of the precinct at the conclusion of the event may be limited, and patrons are asked to be patient.
TAXIS
A taxi rank is located across the road from WIN Stadium outside the Steelers Club on Burelli Street. There is also an additional taxi rank located adjacent to WIN Entertainment Centre on the corner of Crown & Harbour Streets.
Meantime UBER is available in Wollongong.
MERCHANDISE ON SALE
Shirts, singlets, crop tops, hoodies, postcard set, rings, tote bags, blanket, and a “dad hat”.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- A free photo booth will be up and running. Ticketholders can come and take a fun GIF photo and get it sent to their phone. If it’s shared on social media, they go in the draw for TWO tickets to every concert and sporting event the venue has in 2019.
- WIN Entertainment Centre is a NON-SMOKING venue.
- ATM’s are located inside.
- Pass outs will be NOT available.
- Cloakroom facilities will NOT be available.
- The box office (located at Harbour/Burelli Street) will be open from 2pm for pre-paid ticket collections.
- Food and drinks are available on-site.
- Small bags are permitted but may be subject to a bag search.
- Cameras are not allowed, particularly cameras with what are termed as 'long lenses' or 'professional lenses.
MOBILITY RESTRICTED ACCESS
For the mobility-impaired, WIN Stadium offers ease of access through external entry gates (all at ground level with no steps).
Barrier free entry into the WIN Entertainment Centre from the Crown Street and Harbour Street entrances is available for our guests with a disability.
Limited reserved accessible car parking spaces are available within the WSEC car park area and in Quilkey Place. Please phone the WSEC Ticketmaster Box Office during business hours on 02 4220 2884 to book your accessible car parking space.
TICKET SCALPING
Be wary of ticket re-sale websites and people selling tickets for inflated prices as you may get barred from the venue.
New scalping laws have come into effect with tough maximum penalties for selling a ticket at more than 10 per cent above the original cost are $11,000 for an individual, and $22,000 for an organisation.
Event organisers will now be able to cancel tickets, meaning a purchaser can be refused entry. Read more HERE.
