The side booked a spot in the final with a comprehensive victory over Highlands on Saturday, with South Coast defeating Shoalhaven by three wickets in Saturday’s other match.
There are plans to reschedule Sunday’s matches for October 28.
Xavier McDevitt was the pick of the Illawarra bowlers, picking up 4-17 as Highlands were bowled out for 162. Mitch McCrae then led the run-chase, scoring a classy 63 as Illawarra reached their total with just under nine overs to spare.
“It was a good performance considering the conditions, it was overcast and the wicket was pretty green,” Illawarra captain Graeme Batty said. “The bowlers bowled really well and some guys we wanted to look at got some runs with the bat.
“I was really impressed with everyone we used and it was encouraging because we haven’t had much cricket.”
