A Sydney “sugar daddy” has been left sporting a deep gash to his left ear after an early morning rendezvous with a woman in Wollongong took a sudden and violent turn.

Alleged “sugar baby” Shannon Haynes was refused bail in Wollongong court on Saturday on a charge stemming from the incident, which took place in the early hours of Friday morning and resulted in the victim being hit in the head with a tomahawk following a dispute over money.
Court documents said Haynes, 26, met the 37-year-old man via the dating website Seeking Arrangement - which facilitates “sugar baby” and “sugar daddy” meetings in exchange for money and an allowance.
Haynes, who goes by the name Sienna on the website and appears to have only signed up three days before the incident, describes herself as a “fun, smart and sexy blonde bombshell” with “a killer hourglass figure” in her profile.
“I enjoy the finer things in life….I will say I have expensive taste and love shopping,” she wrote alongside several pictures, including one where she is in a nurse fancy dress outfit.
“I like to live a party lifestyle with expensive dinners and spontaneous holidays.”
It is alleged the man initially agreed to pay Haynes $1000 a week for her services, but later changed the agreement to $300 per meeting.
According to police, the pair met at a home on Buckland Street, Fernhill, on Friday morning and began having sex after the man placed $300 on the beside table.
It is alleged Haynes stopped the encounter about 10 minutes later and allegedly asked to be paid $1000. The man refused, stating the agreed amount was $300, and they resumed having sex. Haynes again questioned the amount of money to be paid and the man told her he was going to leave.
However, it is alleged the man was stopped from leaving by Haynes and two other men who had just arrived at the house. One was armed with a tomahawk.
The men allegedly demanded the victim pay Haynes the full $1000. When he said he didn’t have any more money, one of the men allegedly hit him in the left ear with the tomahawk, causing a large wound.
The injured man was able to flee the scene and alert police. He was taken to hospital and required 15 stitches to his ear.
Police arrested Haynes, allegedly discovering a small amount of methamphetamine during a search of the house.
She was charged with demand property by force in company and drug possession.
Haynes appeared in court via video link on Saturday morning, wearing a dressing gown.
She was supported by her mum, who frequently interjected during proceedings to protest her daughter’s innocence.
Legal Aid solicitor Felicity Jackson told the court Haynes was an only child and the full-time carer for her mum, who has early stages of dementia and was recovering from breast cancer.
Ms Jackson said Haynes also suffered from anxiety, which would be heightened if she was kept in custody.
She said Haynes disputed the police facts, had been told she wouldn’t be charged if the names of the other people allegedly involved were provided, and needed to be at liberty to seek further legal advice.
“She won’t deal with being in custody,” Haynes’ mum interjected.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Amelia Wall told the court Haynes could be treated for her mental health issues in a prison environment.
She said the allegations against Haynes were “very serious” and she would likely face jail time if convicted.
Haynes then yelled out “Mum, please do something” and “I was promised I would be getting bail”, prompting her mother to interupt proceedings again by yelling out “there’s no proof of anything.”
Registrar Bruiceen Coulthard denied bail, despite Haynes begging "please your Honour, please let me go home.”
The case returns to Wollongong Local Court on Monday.
