It will be like a real-life version of Shark Tank at the University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus this week as teams of budding entrepreneurs pitch woeful ideas in the hope of being awarded cash prizes this Thursday.

Not to be confused with other UOW Pitch programs for innovation, the PitchX is a “reverse pitching competition” where student teams have to develop a dodgy idea in the name of experience and fun.
Finalists have been given support and training over the past four weeks – however bizarre and funny they may be – and will pitch them to a panel of experts.
The free event will have a party atmosphere with a DJ, food and drinks and is open to the general public.
It kicks off at 6pm, Thursday October 18 – on the rooftop terrace of the iAccelerate building, Innovation Campus on Squires Way in North Wollongong.
