The eastern platform is linked directly to the car park, while the one on the western side is accessed by a crossing over two sets of tracks.
There are also two sets of stairs linking each platform to the Elliotts Road overpass – where lifts could be a possibility
Transport for NSW has started the planning process, which is standard practice for any project being considered for the Transport Access Program.

The work will include assessing geotechnical conditions and pedestrian and traffic flow.
“This is the first step to determine what improvements are needed to make Fairy Meadow station accessible,” a Transport for NSW spokesman said.
“Early investigation work will be completed in the coming months followed by the development of concept plans.
“Once the concept designs have been completed we will seek feedback from the community which will help to shape the upgrades.”
The spokesman said subject to approvals construction could start late next year and take approximately 12 months to complete.
Transport for NSW considers a station to be accessible to those in a wheelchair only if they can get onto the platform unaided.
If ramps are steeper than a 1:14 ratio the station is classed as inaccessible.
