GET A LIFE
The current wave of tagging and graffiti from Wollongong to the northern suburbs is disappointing in the extreme.

Metal and timber fences, power poles, business frontages, road and traffic signage, retaining walls, sound barriers, even existing artwork.
Nothing is sacred to a small group of people whose contribution to society is as pathetic as they are. With parts of Wollongong resembling the Bronx with trees, one can only wonder what our future as a tourist destination and liveable city will be.
Suburbia and it’s excesses seems to have caught up with us in Wollongong, but with a zero tolerance for ugliness it can still remain a beautiful place to live.
Bring on the wonder walls, graffiti art and murals, but tagging private property is inane, criminal and pointless and shows a total disrespect for community life. For those that tag, get a life, a meaningful one.

WHAT ABOUT THE NDIS?
In response to the article ‘Lack of training so unfair’ (Illawarra Mercury, Friday October 12, 2018), in the picture a number of people hold signs that read "NDIS, Lets make it the best it can be" and I totally agree.
With respect, financing the NDIS is far more worthwhile and important than anything to do climate change and renewable energy.
Ironically, another article titled ‘Abilities not disabilities’ speaks positively of Paralympian and world champion water skier Scott Reardon. The Paralympic is fantastic and so positive for people with disabilities in general because it supports the view each person has dignity and worth.
But, is the NDIS and Paralympics acceptable in a society that is totally comfortable with the termination of innocent unborn children through abortion? Particularly those with defects or disabilities. Indeed parents with disabled children are increasingly stating "they should have aborted, rather than have the baby" and this is so sad and regretble.
Every person has dignity and worth, so are we going to fully fund the NDIS and provide those of us with disabilities extra services or not? People with disabilities should not have to campaign for genuine and crucial services for them to live a normal life as possible.

COMPLETE BULLDUST
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just unleashed a scheme titled work on farm or lose your welfare.
I don't know if it's a knee jerk reaction from Scott or what or just typical LNP/IPA spite.
I don't think this will ever happen. You are prepared to send city kids to work livestock with no training?
Sorry I don't think so. That would not be fair on the farmer. Who on earth would want to put up with and work with a resentful unmotivated city kid?
Could you imagine the vandalism and slow work rate? A recipe for trouble I say. City kids of today would not last five minutes in the country. Their hands and backs are not strong enough anymore.
So much for supporting the man on the land Mr Morrison. I really hope country folk will remember your nasty IPA comments come election time. Luckily for you they probably won't.
