He suggests that magistrates and judges are responsible for the carnage resulting from domestic violence. In his letter, Wren calls out the evil of domestic violence leaving to murder. I agree with his comment that seven murders in seven days is seven too many.
It is easier to blame others for lack of both community action and failing to act yourself. Last week we had correspondent in these columns condoning the abuse of power to gain political power. It was stated that either accept abuse as normal or get out of politics. Computer games use violence as entertainment.
Magistrates and judges do not gift young people violent computer games maybe Wren needs call out those who promote and support this teaching of violence as fun. Let’s start at the top and vote out politicians who use abuse to achieve their own goals and call out anyone to espouses violence to achieve their ends.

A BLOODY RIP-OFF
It can only be rented from a communications carrier connecting an NBN fibre service to the home. It can only be owned and maintained by NBN, and yet nobody can directly contact NBN to fix it when it goes wrong.
Its the emergency battery powered unit that sits on the end of an NBN fibre-to-the-home installation. I was called to inspect an emergency power fail box belonging to a Telstra customer a few days ago after a Telstra representative said it was the responsibility of the customer to pay to get it fixed.
It’s a very dangerous item of equipment covered in danger warnings, being a rented piece of equipment seems to have nothing to do with the matter. If a battery fails the customer has to pay a technician to buy a new battery and replace it. That is an absolute bloody rip off. Its the way of Telstra service's of the future. You pay all the way.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES
With the odds of the Liberal Party losing the seat of Wentworth in Saturday’s bi-election comparable to the Sydney Roosters ever being pinged for exceeding the NRL salary cap, Scott Morrison on the hustings for Liberal Candidate David Sharma, still felt a need to bastardise a quote from the movie Forrest Gump to demonise Independent Candidate Dr Kerryn Phelps.
Adopting a cut and paste analogy of Forrest Gump’s momma and her box of chocolates; Morrison warned Wentworth voters “ Ya never know what ya gonna get!” (sic) with Independents!
Ironically, the actions of LNP senators this week gave Morrison another opportunity to quote from Forrest Gump; “stupid is as stupid does!”. For what better evidence of political stupidity within the LNP could there be than on Monday to support a racist motion from Pauline Hanson? Then on Tuesday in the wake of an electoral backlash, be forced to have Hanson’s motion re-put and vote it down? Morrison blamed an administration error by a ministerial staffer as the cause.
