Repairs to a Gwynneville overpass damaged by a truck carrying an over-height load will see a section of the M1 Princes Motorway closed at night.

On October 2 a truck carrying mining and construction equipment got wedged under the University Avenue overpass.
The incident happened in the left lane on the southbound side where the clearance of 4.6 metres is clearly signposted.
Roads and Maritime Services will need to resurface the underside of the bridge, which will begin on Sunday.
The repairs will occur over three weeks from November 4 – Sunday to Thursday – between 9pm and 4am.
Preparatory work will take place through to Thursday between 8.30pm and 4am.
After that the repairs will occur over three weeks from November 4 – Sunday to Thursday – between 9pm and 4am.
During the preparation stage and the repair work, both southbound lanes of the M1 Princes Motorway will be closed.
Motorists will be detoured onto the exit ramp at University Avenue and be directed to re-join the M1 via the on-ramp at this intersection.
