I accept that there is merit in many of the arguments.
But there is still significant argument that arise from climate change deniers.
Australia has a very significant commitment to renewables and many companies are hedging their future on a less carbon based future.
Recent polls want Australia to prepare for a climate change future.
The by-election in Wentworth seemed to show significant support for the government to take action.
The response from Frydenberg puts them in the camp of the 'climate change deniers' aligning with Donald Trump.

NOT A POLITICAL FOOTBALL
It was refreshing to read the Rex Parris article in the Illawarra Mercury on Thursday.
His statement “Officials in all levels of government worldwide must put ideology aside and commit to policy that drives down energy and transport emissions” could not be more to the point.
It’s disappointing that many politicians still continue to doubt the science.
Hopefully the results of the Wentworth by-election may help encourage a rethink in Canberra.
A price on carbon emissions was always a good thing and should never have been used as a political football

THE CANARY IN THE COAL MINE
Matty Ryan in ‘What’s the Difference’ (Illawarra Mercury, October 19, 2018) claims that because he enjoys horse racing that horses are not treated badly.
If Ryan was to check the NSW court records he would find some horse trainers have cruelty convictions recorded against them.
Further if he was to research the army personnel records of men who took part in the Battle of Beersheba he would find that a few had punishments for their treatment of their horses.
Some non-commission officers even lost their rank as their crime.
Ryan would be wise to remember the closing down of the greyhound industry was due to allegations of mistreatment of animals.
It may be wise to treat any allegations has ‘a canary in the coal’ mine rather than an assertion to be dismissed while resorting to myth and legend to justify a pastime that he enjoys.

FINE AND DANDY
Speed cameras are nothing but revenue generating. What does a fine in the post 14 days later prevent?
We are being fed an untruth as usual and they want to hide them even more.
Nothing beats high profile policing as a immediate solution. Stop the lies, it’s a police state gone mad for the sake of revenue.
