And as per previous years, the HPS Sppoky Carnival on October 26 will be fun for the entire family with loads of entertainment for all ages, rides, show bags and more.
School P&C president Naomi Burley said kids and adults were welcome to embrace the spooky theme and dress up or simply come along and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.
“The Spooky Carnival will also offer a fun and safe environment for kids who want to celebrate Halloween,” she said.
The Dunk Tank, Haunted House, rides including Round Up, Giant Slide, Bungee Trampolines and Jumping Castle as well as spooky photo booth are among the highlights.
Pre-schoolers and infants are also catered for with a special “Side-Show Alley” being run by Year 6 and featuring carnival games such as Pick a Nostril, Bowl an Elf and Eyeball Surprise.
All funds raised at the carnival will go towards updating the school’s technology resources and the final instalment of the playground that opened earlier this year – made possible by funding from Metropolitan Coal and Tradies Helensburgh.
The P&C will be supporting the school’s commitment to purchase six new interactive whiteboard projectors, 20 digital cameras/scanners, and extra laptops.
“We are calling on the community to support the school by coming along to the 2018 Spooky Carnival and having a whole heap of fun for a great cause,” Burley said.
“It will be a fabulous event for all ages.”
The event at Helensburgh PS runs from 4-9pm.
