Shellharbour City Council will host the annual furry-friend event ti encourage responsible and caring pet ownership.
The event will be held on Sunday from 10am to 1pm at Albion Park Showground.
Your furry family member will get to socialise with other dogs, enter competitions and eat special treats.
Shellharbour City Mayor Marianne Saliba said the relationship between people and their pets was special and had positive emotional and physical health benefits for the owners.
“Dogs activate their owners and encourage a healthy lifestyle that includes walking, outdoor activities and connecting with others in the local area,” Cr Saliba said.
“Caring for a dog can be a rewarding experiencing for people and is attributed to improving mental health conditions, particularly depression and loneliness.”

Free microchipping for dogs owned by Shellharbour City residents will be provided on the day.
There will be treats, giveaways and prizes for all dogs that attend as well as free face painting for children.
Competitions will be held in Perfect Puppy, Best Trick, Best Dressed, Happiest Scruff, Petite Pooch and Huge Hound categories.
