Two people have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Wollongong’s CBD.

A man and a woman entered the Lucky Shop Sydney discount variety store on Crown Street just after 2pm on Sunday.
The woman allegedly threatened a 19-year-old male staff member with a knife, while the man stole cash, before the pair left the area.
Officers from Wollongong Police District were contacted and commenced inquiries into the incident.
A short time later, police arrested a 29-year-old woman and 33-year-old man at a licensed premises on Burelli Street.
They were taken to Wollongong police station, where they were both charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
The pair were refused bail and will appear at Wollongong Local Court on Monday.
The staff member was not physical injured during the incident.
