Local authors Sue Whiting, Dale Newman, Gabe Jones and Allison Tait will be leading activities throughout the afternoon in the “family interactive zone” at MacCabe Park.
Writers festival director Hayley Scrivenor said the medley of workshops, activities and live readings would celebrate children’s literature, give a platform for emerging authors and make learning about books and writing fun.
It’s part of a slew of family activities at Wollongong’s annual cultural festival including circus playground, scouts activities, arts and crafts, kids’ stand-up comedy, and live entertainment.
Meantime a full list of Viva La Gong performers will be announced by Wollongong City Council on Thursday November 1.
