The Greater Illawarra Zone under 14 and under 15 boys cricket teams have extended their winning start to the season with victories over North Shore.

The matches were played in contrasting fashion, with the under 14s clash going down to the wire and the under 15s claiming a fairly comfortable win.
After being sent out to field, the under 14s bowled North Shore out for 187 in the first innings. Lyndon Coward led with the ball, finishing with figures of 4-30 off nine overs, and picked up a run out.
Middle-order batsman Lachlan Malcolm then anchored the run chase, hitting an impressive 69 to guide the side to victory with four balls to spare.
The under 15s were sent in to bat, with Liam Mackrell’s 58 helping the team to 7-181 off 50 overs. The bowlers then restricted their opposition batsmen, bowling North Shore out for 141.
The under 12 boys, under 16 boys and under 15 girls all suffered defeats.
