Mr Rogers took up the challenge put out by fellow disability sector chief executive Chris Christodoulou, of Greenacres Disability Services, during September’s monthly nightclub event run by Beau Thatcher and a team of volunteers.
It all started when Mr Christodoulou was asked if he would sing at the next karaoke nightclub event on November 9 and agreed to do The Time Warp from the Rocky Horror Show if other CEO’s take up the challenge.
Mr Thatcher said the two have now been joined by Northcott’s Mark Borg who will be belting out Bon Jovi’s Living On A Prayer.
Craig Thompson, of Community Gateway, is preparing The Village People’s YMCA while Eddie & the Champs from The Disability Trust are doing a timely rendition of Queen’s We Are the Champions.
Yvonne Walker from HR with ease has selected No Doubt’s Just a Girl and CRAM chief executive Karen Burdett is taking on Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
And Martyn Vidamour, of Serendipity Support Services, is singing Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl.
Mr Thatcher said it is not too late for other chief executives to sign on and make their selection.
