Sunday marks the centenary of the Armistice.
Returned Services Leagues across the Illawarra will host Remembrance Day services to mark the special anniversary and residents are invited to attend the commemorations to pay their respects to the sacrifices of Australian soldiers past and present.
A service will be held at Wollongong War Memorial at MacCabe Park on Church Street from 11am.
An Austinmer-Thirroul RSL sub-branch service will start at 10.30am at Thirroul War Memorial at Woodward Park.
A service will be held at 11am at Coledale RSL Club on Lawrence Hargrave Drive. Lakeside Memorial Park in Dapto will host a service from 10.30am at Kanahooka Road, Dapto.
A service will start from 10.50am at the Woonona Bulli RSL Memorial Club.
Warilla RSL sub-branch will hold a service at the war memorial at Chisholm Park in Shellharbour Village at 10.30am.
