With this weekend’s round the final one-day match of the season, and Lake Illawarra having already secured the first place in the final, both sides are desperate for a win.
The match has been affected by the Country Championships, with Oak Flats missing all-rounder Brynley Richards and Kiama/Gerringong without captain Manning Berry.
Rats captain Scott McAndrew knows his team is in for a tough match, but is confident they can take the victory if they are at their best.
“We were disappointing last week, but this is a big opportunity to bounce back,” McAndrew said.
“Brynley is a massive out for us, but Manning being out is a big loss for them. I expect it to be pretty tight, whoever turns up on the day will take it out.”
In other matches, Lake Illawarra play Kookas and The Rail host Shellharbour.
