We just have to be motivated to follow them for our own safety and the safety of others.
Only swim on patrolled beaches between the red and yellow flags and never swim alone.
Always keep a watchful eye out for each other, especially near the water.
We can also show that we care about our environment by taking our rubbish home with us. Especially plastic and glass.
Actions will always speak louder than words, and when it comes to water safety, our positive actions could save our own life as well as that of others.

GETTING THINGS WRONG
History has taught me one sure thing about Australian Governments and their choices of technology.
They always, without fail, get things wrong.
Every Medicare card holder could have easily been issued with a smart Medicare card which could be loaded with a patients medical history, and updated every time it is used on a visit to have medical treatment.
I opted out of having my medical history being accessible to all and sundry because nobody knows how or when my personal medical history can be manipulated against me.
The only system which seems to have been able to outsmart the hackers is the Opal Card.
I would rather be a prisoner without a name in a cell without a number, than be part of any sort of risk by hackers with online technology.
The online voting debacle is still fresh in my mind.
We have all heard trust me, I'm a politician working hard for you.
Dave Cox, Corrimal
WHAT PRICE A LIFE?
On November 14 2018 a truck driver paid for the politicians’ refusal to construct the Maldon Dombarton rail line with his life when his truck collided with a truck carrying product that should have been sent by rail.
Our sympathy goes to his family.
The news report describe the Picton Road as the most deadly road in Australia.
What price is another life.
The death was preventable as there is a clear identifiable safe plan to eliminate the risk.
Politicians must be held accountable for this tragedy.

THE OTHER SIDE
Stop calling the Picton road a black spot, it is far from that.
An amazing piece of road it is.
It’s driver error and inattention of drivers as stated by one local.
Drivers have a responsibility to drive with safety and due care.
Stop trying to cover up for poor decisions and a bad call.
We all need wake up.
Life is too short.
