All we need is a connection to the internet.
At the Illawarra Mercury we were the first newspaper in Fairfax Media to test the technology and produce an entire edition remotely.
The first time we did it from the just near the beach at Stuart Park and then we did it from the Wollongong Botanic Gardens.
On November 30, we’ll be going on excursion again and this time producing an edition for the first time from Shellharbour.
If you are around the Shellharbour Civic Centre building on that day, especially around the library, you will see our journalists working hard (hopefully) to produce the special first day of summer edition of the Illawarra Mercury. Feel free to stop by and say hello.
Last week our new digital subscribers were invited to a special event as part of that day and if you received your invite you only have until next Friday to confirm your attendance. Places are limited, please don’t wait and miss out. There will also be some other special activities for the day open to the public. Stay tuned.
