Newcastle trainer Kris Lees believes High Power can only improve as he heads towards the $150,000 Provincial Series final at Kembla Grange next month.

High Power, a son of High Chaparral, booked his spot in the decider after winning the fourth heat at Newcastle on Sunday.
The four-year-old was aided by a well-executed ride by Corey Brown to hold off the fast-finishing Plaisir, with Kim Waugh’s King Hewitt two lengths in third.
"He is a work in progress because he can still do a few things wrong but he raced well today," Lees told Sky Thoroughbred Central.
"He is only second up so we will definitely some improvement going into the final. I think with a bit more work between now and the final, he will be even better prepared."
The top three finishers in the qualifier will be invited to run in the final at Kembla Grange on December 1.
The last qualifier will be held next Saturday afternoon at Gosford.
