NRL player Jarryd Hayne has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a women in the Hunter region in September.

Mr Hayne was arrested after presenting himself at Ryde police station just after 4pm Monday. Police have said the arrest followed an extensive investigation into reports a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man she met through social media.
The incident is alleged to have occurred in the Hunter on NRL grand final night earlier this year.
The alleged victim was reportedly in contact with Mr Hayne via social media beforehand and claims to have photographic evidence of the injuries she sustained during the alleged incident.
She was interviewed by the NRL integrity unit before reporting the matter to the NSW Police Sex Crimes Squad last week.
Mr Hayne has been charged with aggravated sexual assault-inflict actual bodily harm on victim.
Police will allege in court that the man attended a home in the Hunter region on Sunday, September 30, and sexually assaulted the woman.
Mr Hayne has been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday, December 10.
