A number of teams came home with medals, with Albion Park enjoying particularly fruitful returns.
The club finished the weekend with 10 medals, while Wollongong City won two medals and Helensburgh picked up one.
Albion Park’s sprinters thrived, with the mixed under 11, under 13 and under 15 4x100 metre relays all winning gold medals. The mixed under 9 team won silver, with the under 12 and under 17 teams both collecting bronze medals in the 4x100m.
The club’s mixed under 8-11 4x100m relay also won gold, with the under 12-15 team finishing third. The mixed under 8-11 long jump team claimed a silver medal, as did the under 13 mixed 4x400m relay squad.
Wollongong City’s under 15 girls 4x100m team took home a gold medal, with the under 17 girls claiming a bronze in the 4x100m.
