A man who was riding a bike without a helmet has been hospitalised with a bleeding head injury after he collided with a car at Fairy Meadow on Tuesday night.

The 46-year-old man was riding through the intersection of Squires Way and Elliotts Road about 8.15pm when he and the car crossed paths.
His bike connected with side of the car and he was thrown head-first over the bonnet.
Police say he wasn’t wearing a helmet and was wearing dark-coloured clothing at the time of impact.
NSW Ambulance paramedics took spinal precautions when handling him.
His injuries, including a head wound, were not considered life-threatening.
He was taken by road ambulance to Wollongong Hospital, where he remained on Wednesday in a stable condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and have yet to determine who is at fault.
