Appin Road between the Princes Motorway and Toggerai Street, Appin will be closed in both directions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9am-3pm.
Detours for light vehicles will be in place via Wilton Road, Picton Road and the M1 and motorists should allow up to 10 minutes additional travel time between Appin and Wollongong.

Detours for vehicles over 12 tonnes and 15 metres will be via Hume Motorway, Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway.
The detours will add five minutes of travel time between Wollongong and Campbelltown or Appin.
Meanwhile, traffic numbers along two key roads in Wollongong’s south are being monitored by Roads and Maritime Services.
Last Thursday, RMS staff placed traffic counters at various locations along Springhill Drive and the Princes Highway between Figtree and Dapto.
