Competing in the first edition of the competition, the club finished behind North Narrabeen and North Avalon.
Sandon Point’s squad featured Eddy Hamaty, Jed Ashton, Ben Duncan, Rohnin Micale & Sid Masters.
"You definitely have a lot more pressure compared to surfing individual heats, wanting to make the most of the two waves you get and knowing you don't get another shot if you fall,” Hamaty said.
"We’re absolutely over the moon to come away with third, its so major for us not only because of the massive talent we had to outperform, but having to surf with a totally different team to the last few years.
“We were still able to develop a good chemistry with one another, keeping each other in the right headspace that allowed us to progress heat by heat.”
