He may have become quasi-famous after he was caught on camera breaking into the Tarrawanna Post Office wearing a blue and yellow ‘onesie’, but court documents reveal Cory Milgate was a busy little criminal well before he took to performing in pyjamas.

The Illawarra teen has admitted carrying out four break-ins in the month of August, beginning with the burglary of Ruby’s Cafe at Bulli at sunrise on the 6th and ending with the Balgownie Mini-Mart heist on the 29th.
Court documents said shop owners closed up Ruby’s at 5pm on August 5, however arrived at work the following morning to discover the place had been raided, with $800 in charity money and cash from the till taken, along with four boxes of lollies.
Police found Milgate’s DNA on a half-drunk bottle of Coke that was left at the scene.
Two nights later Milgate broke into Cafe Bulli on Trinity Row, nicking $120 worth of alcohol and $10 from a charity tin.
Police tracked Milgate down to an address in Woonona 10 days later and arrested him, however the Mercury understands he was released on bail at the time.
Two weeks later, Milgate and an unidentified mate gained access to the Tarrawanna Post Office by smashing a glass door in the early hours of the morning.
Once inside, the pair jumped the counter and begin removing boxes and "rummaging through" the shelves and display cabinets.
They removed a large quantity of jewellery worth approximately $2,000, some 20 watches worth $400 and ornaments valued at $240.
The pair also took about $600 worth of cigarettes.
They then made their way to the Mini-Mart, again smashing their way inside before taking 20 packets of cigarettes, an iPad and a charity tin.
Milgate was arrested four days later but again released on court bail, despite having a lengthy criminal record.
He will now be sentenced in Wollongong court in January.
