Mrs Walker’s final meeting in the role was the end of year December black-tie dinner.
She made the decision to step down as executive officer after four years because her own conduct management and HR consultancy, HR with Ease, has grown to the point where performing both roles was no longer manageable.
“Having a fresh person in the executive officer role also provides greater opportunity for growth and new ideas,” she said.
“This board is a terrific board to work with and I will be around to help my successor as they settle into the role," she said.
In his address The Illawarra Connection president Graham Lancaster thanked Mrs Walker on behalf of the board for her service as a director for the last year and four years as executive officer.
“She has been an exceptional executive officer, well organised and very good at keeping members satisfied,” Mr Lancaster said.
