The charity event is the longest continually run Santa Pub Crawl in the world and celebrates its 25th birthday this Saturday, with organiser Neil Webster certain marriages and babies have been produced as a direct result.
“There’s a bundle, I couldn’t even put a number because there’s so many,” Mr Webster said.
“We had our first wedding occur within, I think, year three of the event – they’re happily married now with four kids.”
For the first time the crawl – which expects around 10,000 revelers at venues around Wollongong – will have a family friendly photo opportunity with Santa’s helpers at North Wollongong Hotel from 1pm to 2pm.
Mr Webster welcomed mums and dads who may have met at previous pub crawls for a “next generation” style photo.
“It’s earlier in the day so the kids can come in and have lunch and not feel too overwhelmed,” he said.
It comes ahead of next year’s transformation to SantaFest with activities run over several days including night markets, Christmas carols, a charity bike ride and the famous pub crawl – all continuing to raise money for charity.
