The Health Minister Brad Hazzard, asked me to look at what can be improved to ensure our hospitals are as safe as they can be. I am getting on with the job of completing the review by next February, and will be drawing on considerable personal experience as a former Health and Police Minister, university Professor and security consultant. My review will consider every measure that’s already been taken, as well as anything that might be working interstate or overseas. The review is focused on examining and evaluating what might make a difference so that staff, patients and visitors in NSW hospitals can feel safe and protected.

ABSENCE OF MORALITY
In response to the letter by John Macleod ‘Inequality and Instability’ (Illawarra Mercury, Monday November 26, 2018), anarchy is not simply a lack of government. It is a system absent of hierarchy, dominion, authority and rules guided by love, charity and justice.
In addition anarchy rejects all capitalism, a nation or state and representative democracy. Most notably protests by anarchists involve extreme violence and battles with police. Mr Macleod is right to be upset with these banking executives as everyone recognises the deceit, lack of honesty and integrity of their conduct. So, it is not about how much government regulation we have but the absence of morality which is the major problem. Privatisation does not erode responsible government, yet government must demonstrate balance between the two. Blaming capitalism for everything under the sun is a nonsense, just as it is blaming it for inequality. Political instability is caused by the cultural-left who want our Christian and family values eroded so it can implement secular atheism.

A NASTY PIECE OF WORK
Well what can one say about a disgruntled ex Prime Minister. He turned out to be a nasty piece of work to say the least, not a bit of help did he give the Government in there quest for another candidate for his electrote.
The one he abandoned, still he turns the screws on this Government, but they want to ban him from being a member of the Liberal Party, can't come quick enough I say. Now he as his son doing the dirty work. Australian politics want nothing to do with these kind of people but unfortunately they sneak in.

PROTECTING THE PLANET
Perhaps someone should tell D J Preece (Illawarra Mercury, November 30) that Bill Shorten's subsidised batteries will not be recharged by 'nasty and toxic electricity' from the grid, but by clean solar energy from panels on the roof.
You charge the batteries when the sun is shining and use battery power when it's not. That way, you don't have to use 'nasty and toxic electricity' from the grid, thus saving you money; you might even put some clean power back into the grid, thus helping to protect the planet.
