Residents who want to say goodbye to 2018 and hello 2019 can do so at a family friendly event, which is hosted by Kiama Municipal Council and Destination Kiama.
About 15,000 are expected to attend the show with activities kicking off at 4pm on the Black Beach foreshore.
There will be food from around the world available at a new attraction, the Eat Street precinct.
Roving performers and live music will entertain attendees at Hindmarsh Park. Country music star Catherine Britt will headline the show.
Adrenaline seeking kids can jump on amusement rides at Laurie’s Carnival.
More than 500 fireworks will light up the night show from 9pm accompanied by the popular laser show over Kiama Harbour.
There will be a second laser show at 9.30pm.
Destination Kiama has encouraged everyone to come early and stay late to make the most of their New Year’s Eve.
Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the restaurants and cafes and linger to enjoy the final hours of 2018 along the beautiful Kiama foreshore, including Blowhole Point.
Sydney Trains will be running extra Kiama services, and there will be extra parking at Minnamurra and Gerringong stations for those who want to park and ride.
There will also be a drop-off point near the Harbour, and viewing area, for people using wheelchairs.
The Sky Show will also be the greenest so far, with stallholders providing plates, cutlery and cups that can recycled or composted. The Show is also a smoke-free event.
96.5 Wave FM is the major sponsor and will broadcast the event. Kiama Coast Holiday Parks is sponsoring the laser show and Big 4 Easts is the fireworks sponsor.
