Seven young surfers travelled to Victor Harbor, South Australia, for the competition to do battle with the country’s top juniors.
Shellharbour’s Oceanna Rogers and Austinmer’s Zahlia Short remain in the hunt in the under 14 girls event, with the two girls safely qualifying for the quarter-finals.
Port Kembla’s Charli Hurst is through to the under 16 girls semi-finals after finishing second in her quarter-final.
Fin McLaren also qualified for the quarter-finals of the under 18 boys, however that was where his competition came to an end. The Austinmer surfer’s score of 10 was not enough to progress to the semi-final.
Port Kembla’s Taj Simon was eliminated in the second round of the under 16 boys requalifying.
