As the morning sun rises, it presents us all,
Long shadows, in the land of the Dharawal,
Illawarra, pleasant place by the sea,
Or high, depending on the vocabulary.
...
Bounded, North, by the Royal park,
Up where the escarpment reigns,
To the growing south, the lake’s mouth,
And the expanding coastal plains,
...
The Connection draws us, in fine form,
Agenda free, bonhomie the norm,
To gather together in ballroom grand,
We could well be, in Switzerland.
...
From government, religion and industry,
Commercial interests that loom,
Representing a commonality,
Our region becomes a room.
...
We have, disparately come together
Creating a future, now, forever,
The conversations flow, safe and free,
Chatham House rules, as it should be,
…
Our guest Speakers share their views,
As we seek the growth of our region,
To inform, entertain, and to amuse,
Within the Connection, we are legion.
...
We celebrate and develop leaders,
We are connection that enables,
Where once dominated strong red cedars,
We spend our evenings, at nights of the round tables.
