The six new eateries will be joined by Dumpling Queen and a sushi bar in the new-look food court in early 2019.
Centre manager Andrew Martin took the Illawarra Mercury on a tour of the new food court, part of a $25 million investment to establish Warrawong Plaza as The Place to dine and be entertained.
Mr Martin said there is plenty of choice in the new indoor-outdoor precinct, with alfresco dining options and a roof that can open and close depending on the weather.
The new eateries include:
- Casual dining restaurant Rashays
- Yum cha eatery Hong Kong Palace
- Another Burger Joint
- Thai restaurant Chong&Co
- Dessert bar Sugar Rush
- Tea and coffee house Doi Café
He said the food court ties in nicely with the recently upgraded relax-and-recline cinema, giving people the option to take in a movie and dine up until 11pm.
“It is an entertainment precinct coming off a very successful Hoyts cinema,” he said.
“We have tied six restaurants to it, so it is a nice little place to come and watch a movie and have something to eat.
“Or have something to eat and watch a movie and do a bit of shopping afterwards”.
The official opening is at noon on Thursday, but people are encouraged to come in to take a look throughout the day.
