Maybe some of the decisions cost certain groups of electricity consumers money but were not illegal as they effect individuals rather than corporations.

BEER O’CLOCK
The day’s hot (40 degrees).
In my “mind’s eye” I see a climate change sceptic turning the air conditioner down to 18, “cracking a coldie”, relaxing, and settling down to watch TV.
The hot sun is unrelenting, within an hour and half, the temperature rises to 45 degrees celsius.
There’s a smell of death in the air.
Not worry it has been happening for millions of years.
Time for another beer.

A ‘GRAVE’ MISTAKE
A recent decision by the AAT to overrule a decision of the Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton who wanted to deport an Iranian ice addict convicted of more than 25 criminal offences including a stabbing, is appalling.
In defending the decision not to deport the refugee, a senior member of the AAT, Mr Peter Dutton, stated that he regarded the crime of stabbing someone as not being 'particularly grave'.
As the victim of a random, thrill stabbing myself, many years ago (twice in the back) I can assure Mr Dutton that as far as the victim of such an offence is concerned, it is 'particularly grave'.
The fact that the refugee is also an ice addict and serial criminal, and yet still be allowed to remain in Australia, means that surely its time to disband the anachronistic AAT which is over-ruling common sense decisions.
And time that 'senior members' like Mr Peter Taylor who has most likely never been the victim of any crime himself and has no appreciation of the consequences on a victim be sacked.

THE BATTERY POWER
In response to the letter by Ron Pretty ‘Protecting the Planet’ (Illawarra Mercury, Friday, December 7, 2018), protecting the planet from why?
It is the supreme irony that environmental elitists attending the current Paris climate junket in Poland are freezing under record cold temperatures while attempting to force nations to stop global warming.
Lithium batteries have proved how good they are.
Like powering 30,000 homes for 6 minutes or a single home for 24 hours and an Aluminium Smelter for 14 minutes.
It is also important to bear in mind that lithium has the potential to cause serious medical problems which has been well documented.
France has environmentally friendly renewable energy sources like wind and solar. However 72 percent of their power comes from 58 nuclear generators that provides consistent base load power.
