Uncle Bok’s is the second venture for Moominn owners Barbora Sterbova and Arron Choi.
And is named after a fictional character created by Mr Choi.
The bar will have a focus on European beer on tap, wine from Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Australia and a large range of cocktails.
The menu will feature European and Asian inspired dishes.
Uncle Bok’s in Shop 1/48-50 Crown Street near South Coast BMW has an older-style Victorian feel which is different to the busy but peaceful of Moominn.
But each eatery is designed so that those who enter feel a thousands miles away from work and busy lives..
Uncle Bok’s is a cosy and comfy location where people can chill out and relax and feel like they could be anywhere in the world.
It is larger than Moominn and will have live music some night.
“Everyone can come and listen to Uncle Bok’s is kind of a restaurant and bar that everyone can get along to and listen to jazz on a Friday and Saturday night,” Mr Choi said.
“And it is a place you can scape and get away after work and feel like you are somewhere else and have a good time with your friends. Everyone is welcome”.
Ms Sterbova said they Moominn was a chance for them to express themselves creatively Uncle Bok’s was a little more subdued.
We will be operating from 5pm to midnight most days Wednesday to Saturday. And we might have a little jazz trio. This menu has a slightly more Asian focus. But we will still have food from all over Europe.

The couple have created jobs and employed more people to work in both restaurants.
Ms Sterbova said they liked the idea of staff working in both locations.
Moominn is now open for lunch on Friday and Saturday as well as from 5pm to midnight from Tuesday to Saturday.
Ms Sterbova and Mr Choi met while studying commerce at the University of Wollongong before going on to work in corporate roles in Sydney before deciding to return to Wollongong and open Moominn in mid-2017.
