Jesse Rose, Justin Filipetti and Troy Fornaciari all made lasting impressions on the authorities – and public – this year with an epic tantrum, foul-mouthed outburst and a catch-me-if-you-can Facebook taunt.

Shellharbour thug throws chairs in court after learning he’s off to jail
A visiting Sydney judge publicly released CCTV footage of a man’s epic tantrum inside a Wollongong courtroom after he was sentenced to jail time over a violent glassing incident.
Jesse John Rose became irate and highly aggressive on the afternoon of April 6 this year after Wollongong District Court’s permanent sitting judge, Andrew Haesler, said he would be spending the next 14 months in jail after glassing a man at the Central Hotel at Shellharbour in May 2016.
With his girlfriend sobbing uncontrollably in the public gallery, Rose, a one-time aspiring rugby league player, swore and kicked the door of the dock before moving out into the body of the courtroom and “shaping up” to Corrective Services staff who were attempting to take him into custody.
He then stepped back towards the bar table and picked up two chairs in quick succession, holding each one above his head and throwing them at the officers.
Moments later, one of the officers rounded the dock and confronted Rose, who began throwing punches in his direction.
The officer managed to grab Rose in a bear hug while another officer tackled him from behind. More.
‘I’m daring you – come’ - accused Mangerton firebomber taunts police
A Mangerton man wanted for allegedly firebombing a neighbour’s unit taunted police in a series of live Facebook videos in June, telling them, “I’m like the wind. You know I’m there, but you can’t catch me”.
Justin Filipetti, AKA Justin Cameron, had posted four videos since June 19 – five days after the doorway to a Myuna Way, Mangerton unit was doused in accelerent and set alight.
In the most recent video, Filipetti denied any wrongdoing but said he would not hand himself in and it would take the tactical response group (TRG) to bring him into custody.
“I’m kicking back. About to have some dinner, some bongs,” he goads.
“You won’t find me, Superintendent. Good luck with it. I’m not f-cking hiding cos I haven’t done nothing f-cking wrong. I’m walking the streets with my head held high.
“If you think you can find me or you think you know where I am – come. I’m daring you, come. It won’t end well, so you better call TRG … Come and f-cking find me … but I’m telling you, I’m like the wind. You know I’m there but you can’t catch me.”
But in the end he was just flesh and bone, spread unceremoniously over a Warrawong roadside, then handcuffed and helped into the back of a paddy wagon. More.
Finks bikie launches into expletive-laden courtroom tirade
When Troy Fornaciari appeared in court via video link in February, he was initially polite – until Magistrate Shane McAnulty advised him that some of his charges related to alleged threats he’d made at the scene of a motorcycle crash at Dapto in August 2017.
Fornaciari objected to the charges and attempted to explain his innocence, before launching into an expletive-laden assessment of the investigating officers.
“I find the police to be rude f—king c—ksuckers to charge me with that,” he said.
Magistrate McAnulty warned him about his language, prompting Fornaciari to apologise, however moments later he used the same phrase to describe his Legal Aid lawyer.
When again warned against swearing, Fornaciari turned belligerent and challenged the long-serving judicial officer.
“What are you going to do? Are you going to come down here and personally do it yourself? If not, shut your f—king mouth you f—king dog,” Fornaciari said, prompting Magistrate McAnulty to cut the video feed.
