The NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association (GBOTA) is the force behind the market. They created it in the vein of the American Pickers television program – where rare artifacts and national treasures are uncovered.
“It is something that is going to bring a few people here, I can see economic benefits and tourism benefits,” GBOTA operations manager Darren Hull previously told the Mercury.
The grand opening will have activities for children like a jumping castle, pony rides and plaster painting. While coffee and food will also be on site.
No bookings are required for people wanting to set up a stall, though inside stalls can be pre-booked. Stall fees are from $30 per space.
The first market is Thursday January 3, from 8am to 1pm.
