The NSW side travelled through the rounds undefeated, with Batty playing a particularly big role in his side’s victory over Victoria Country.
Saturday saw the team face Queensland Country in the Twenty20 final. Batting first, NSW Country reached 7-112, with Batty top-scoring with 35 runs at the top of the order.
Queensland Country struggled in reply, losing wickets at regular intervals and were ultimately bowled out for 87.
The one-day competition, which began on Sunday, did not start as positively for Batty’s side, however, with NSW Country suffering a comprehensive defeat to South Australia Country.
