The accident site was cleared, and all lanes of the Princes Highway near Tongarra Road reopened at noon.

Emergency services were called to the accident site just after 11am. 

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said a female had sustained a knee injury. It is unclear, at this stage, whether she will be taken to hospital.

The spokesman said the front end of the car had been "taken off" by a semi-trailer.

Roads and Maritime Services and council also attended the scene.
